Waverley hoppa Community Transport is offering FREE travel on the Godalming hoppa Shoppa service between 9.30am and 2pm from 1 October to 31 March 2024.
Who can travel for free
The service can be used by anybody of any age who lives in the Godalming area and who does not have access to any other transport.
All buses are fully wheelchair accessible.
The area covered by hoppa Shoppa
Passengers can travel anywhere within the Godalming zone. The attached flyer shows which villages are within the zone.
The hoppa Shoppa can take passengers to:
Health centres and clinics
Dental surgeries
Church halls
Day centres
Supermarkets
Village centres
Visitor attractions
Garden centres
And more
How to start using the service
Anybody who wants to travel for free will need to register with hoppa. Once registered, passengers can book travel by calling hoppa on 01428 681701. The more notice given, the more likely it is that we will be able to offer the preferred day and time of travel.
What happens on the day of travel
On the day of travel, hoppa will pick up passengers from their home at the agreed time and take them to their destination. If a return journey has been booked, hoppa will pick up the passenger at an agreed time and location and take them home.
How is the free travel being funded?
The free travel offer is being run as a six-month pilot. It has been funded by Voluntary Action South West Surrey Sparks fund.
